What a blessing it is for us to experience both inner spiritual growth and the continued development of our unique community dedicated to the Mother of God! Your willingness over the last fourteen years to follow my vision of how a Greek Orthodox community can shine with the light of Christ is a continual source of inspiration and motivates me to continue taking new steps forward. The "vision" is simple: to create a Christ loving community where strangers become friends; spiritual, emotional and physical issues are addressed; and meaningful participation can be experienced by everyone. Our Lord reveals that the journey towards His kingdom is one not travelled alone but experienced in sharing our lives together. I am very thankful to be sharing this journey with all of you!

At the heart of our journey stands the sacrifice of Christ and our response to His invitation for relationship. When King David heard the voice of God, he responded with an offering that was meaningful. "Nor will I offer burnt offerings to the Lord my God with that which costs me nothing. (2 Samuel 24:18-25)." When touched by God's love a meaningful response involves a sacrifice which represents the offering of our entire lives back to Him. "...cease being forgetful of doing good and of contributing; for God is well pleased with such sacrifices. (Heb. 13:16)."

On Sunday, December 6, the feast of St. Nicholas is the day you are asked to make a decision for next year's stewardship commitment. There will be a special prayer and blessing offered at the conclusion of the liturgy and a complimentary luncheon provided by the parish council. Enclosed you will find resources to help make your decision. On the Sundays in November fellow parishioners will share their process for making stewardship commits at the end of liturgy.
