Vacation Bible School - August 2-6

August 2nd through 6th, 9AM till Noon

St Paul and the Underground Church

Strap on your sandals, because this year we will be giving children the fun and adventure of stepping back in time to see God’s love in first century Rome, where St Paul awaits his fate in chains, because the Roman government makes it illegal to be a Christian.

There, children will get to:

  • try on a toga
  • tiptoe past 1st century Roman guards
  • explore a crowded Roman agora (first century marketplace) sampling first century foods like rat (actually it's chicken).
  • become apprentices in a variety of hands-on marketplace shops
  • play high energy games
  • take part in eye-catching dramas
  • encourage early Christians inside a secret, underground catacomb Church
  • meet and talk to St Paul and to the Roman guard to whom he's chained while in house arrest
  • experience THE most exciting week of the summer.

Christian truths come to life as learners discover what it must have been like to be a part of the early Church, experiencing the New Testament scriptures, even as they were being written.
