After closing the Triodion, the book of repentance that has guided us to Pascha, the Church opens a new book- the Pentecostarion. The Pentecostarion is a well-spring of insight and renewal that aids in harvesting the fruit of Great Lent. For fifty days following the resurrection of Christ, the Church is nurtured and guided by the Pentecostarion. This period is marked by examples of people of faith answering the call to follow and serve Christ.

In the form of a question, our Lord warns us that towards the end of human history many shall fall away from the church. He asks in Luke 18:8, "...when the Son of Man comes, shall He find the faith on the earth? (Lk. 18:8).

Rest on Christ (ROC) Juvenile Prison Ministry

Participating in the R.O.C. ministry doesn't require any special talent or skill.  The Rest On Christ ministry merely requires a love of Christ, and a willingness to share Him with others.  Please consider becoming a weekly mentor, or part of a monthly ministry team.  An adjunct prayer ministry takes place Thursday nights at 6PM at the church.

When Fr. Andrew asked me to speak before you this morning on Stewardship, my first reaction was NO! I can't do this.....what am I going to say different that already has not been said numerous time before by Fr. Andrew and others. Then I quickly changed my mind and said YES to this invitation as I recognized that this was another opportunity for me to be a servant.
