Visiting a Greek Orthodox Church for the first time can feel both inspiring and a little unfamiliar. At Assumption Greek Orthodox Church in Scottsdale, Arizona, we want everyone to feel welcome, whether you are exploring the Orthodox Christian faith, attending with family, or simply curious about our worship. Below are some helpful things to know before you join us for Divine Liturgy, the central worship service of the Orthodox Church.
Sunday School is the foundation of Youth Ministry at Assumption and returns on September 13! Classes are available for children and teens in Kindergarten through 12th grade. We look forward to welcoming our students back for another year of learning, fellowship, and growing together in the Orthodox faith. Register for Sunday School here.
Catechism & Theology
Join us for a four-week series in our Catechism and Theology course as we explore the richness, meaning, and beauty of the Divine Liturgy. Continuing through August 25, we will meet Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. in the North Hall. Whether you are new to the Orthodox faith or simply looking to deepen your understanding, all are welcome!
